ELIZABETH D. CHANDLER 1930-2008 BENNINGTON, VT. Elizabeth D. "Betty" Chandler, 77, a resident of Woodford Road, died on Tuesday evening, March 18, at Crescent Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.Born in Bennington on December 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Eva Mylott. She received her education in local schools. Betty was employed at Nastech for several years and was the first person to retire from there after the company moved to Bennington. She was a long time member of the Ladies Auxillary at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bennington. She enjoyed socializing and having a good time, crocheting, knitting, gardening and her two cats, Bonnie and Clyde. She leaves a daughter Mrs. Linda Buck of Albany, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Christina Rae Buck and Heather Lynn Buck; two sisters, Joan Hill-Pettus of Bennington, and Agnes Hager of Fla.; three brothers, Ronald Dewey of Hoosick, N.Y., Harold Dewey of W.Va., and Norman Dewey of Conn. Betty is predeceased by a sister and brother, Ethel Waters and Carroll Dewey. FUNERAL NOTICE: A private family service celebrating Betty's life will be held at a future date.
