Obituary Condolences

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Funeral services for Elizabeth “Betty” Shea were held from Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls on Monday, March 21, 2005, where the liturgy of Christian death and burial was offered by the Rev. John Deegan of Villanova University, a cousin of Betty. Assisting in the funeral mass was the Rev. Joseph Manerowski, pastor of Immaculate Conception.

Pianist was Richard Cherry and soloist was David Sutton. Hymns offered were “Ave Maria,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “Here I Am Lord,” “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Amazing Grace.”

The scriptural readings were offered by James Cusak and the offertory gifts were presented by Kay Lanoue and Joseph Moore.

Burial took place in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, with the Rev. Deegan offering the committal prayers.

Betty Shea, a resident of First Street, Hoosick Falls, died March 18, 2005 at the Hoosick Falls Health Center.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
