SUMTER, S.C. -- Elizibeth Ann Morarity Lopez, 21, died on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at her residence.

She was born in Bennington, Vt., daughter of Scott Thorn and Tiva Marie Briggs. She was a graduate of Crestwood High School and was a waitress in West Columbia at The Flying Saucer and The Club House. She loved cats and Clemson football. She attended the Cherryvale Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are David M. Morarity; grandparents Jerry and Irene LaBeau, Harry and Nancy Briggs Sr., Ray Riddle and JoEllen Thorn; one brother, Justin Moriarty of Bennington, Vt.; three sisters, Shauna Sterling of Florence, Colo., Brittany Wagner and Kristan Thorn, both of Sumter; two step-daughters, Callie Lopez and Madison Brown; two special aunts, Kimberly Briggs and Pamela Long; two favorite uncles, Harry Briggs and Gordy Briggs; several cousins and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at 7 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Bowen officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Francis Benehaley, James Fyffe, Nat Johnson, Justin Moriarty, Adam Ruonala, and Chris Wilkinson.

The family will receive friends prior to service on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, form 5 to 7 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.

Raymond Prouty Sr.

BENNINGTON -- Mr. Raymond B. Prouty Sr., 88, a well known resident of Vail Road, died on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, surrounded by his family at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
