Ellen Dittrich 1944 - 2011 BENNINGTON Ellen Dittrich, 66, of Homosassa, Fla., beloved wife of John Dittrich, and daughter of the late Ole and Olava Moy, passed away Nov. 6, 2010, at the Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, Fla. She was the sister of Yngveig Lewis of Bennington. Ellen was born in Staten Island, N.Y., on Oct. 10, 1944. In 1947, she and her family moved to North Hoosick, N.Y. After her marriage in 1971, Ellen and her husband moved to Stephentown, N.Y., and in 1977, they relocated to Homosassa. Ellen was employed at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for nine years, and in later years, as a dietician. She and her husband operated a trucking and construction business in Homosassa Springs. Ellen was a gentle soul, always with a ready smile and a willingness to help others. She enjoyed taking cruises, rides in her car, playing with her grandchildren, and having coffee with family and friends. Ellen was an active member of the Assembly of God in Crystal River, and previous to that, the First Assembly of God in Hoosick Falls. We are sure she is smiling down on everyone from her heavenly home. Survivors include her beloved family and friends: husband John; one daughter, Ellen (Pablo) of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Michael and Angela of homosassa Springs, Matthew of Georgia, and Luke of Homosassa Springs; two grandsons, Cristian and Marco of Tampa; a brother, Bernhard Moy (Anna) of Sloatsburg, N.Y.; sister, Yngveig Lewis (Dr. Marcel Lewis- dec.); a sister-in-law, Diane Toto of Homosassa, and nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends, and an especially dear friend, Beverly Nicholson of Crystal River, Fla. She is also survived by a 102-year old uncle, Frithjof Olsen of Alexandria, Va. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services were in the care of the Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, and were held at the Fountains Memorial Park on Nov. 9, 2010. Pastor Richard Hart, of the Assembly of God in Crystal River, officiated. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the 3-Day For the Cure of Breast Cancer Fund, P.O.
