Erin Watson-Holland Obituary
Erin Kathleen Watson-Holland

1976-2013 Erin Kathleen Watson-Holland, beloved daughter of Madelyn F. Holland and Brennan J. Holland, left this world on Friday, September 20, 2013, and is now at rest in the arms of our Lord. Erin was born on October 8, 1976 in Portsmouth, N.H. and grew up in Connecticut and Vermont. An independent woman, she resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, Eugene, Ore. and Boston, Mass., before finally settling in her home state of Vermont. Erin was a 1994 graduate of MAUHS. An excellent student, she was awarded a scholarship from Brandeis University. A 2011 graduate of Castleton State College, she graduated summa cum laude with dual degrees in Graphic Arts and Communications. In May of 2013 Erin graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, where she received her Masters of Library Science degree. Her pursuit of an MLS was a reflection of her life-long interest in reading and good literature. While pursuing her MLS, Erin was responsible for the reorganization of the Vermont History Room at the Bennington Free Library. Erin enjoyed dancing, music, hiking in the Green Mountain Trail system, good coffee and fine wines. She was a long time practitioner of yoga, an accomplished artist, writer, musician, athlete and gardener. Intelligence, honesty, ready wit and a wry sense of humor characterized Erin to all who knew her. Erin leaves her parents, Madelyn F. and Brennan J. Holland, her paternal grandmother, Barbara Watson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Richard and Madeline Fonteneau and James Watson.
