NORTH PETERSBURGH, N.Y. -- Ernest W. Brenenstuhl, 48, of Route 346 died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, evening at his residence.

Born in Troy, on April 29, 1958, he was the son of Walter and Mary Watson Brenenstuhl and a lifelong resident of the area.

A 1977 graduate of Hoosick Falls Central High School, Ernie worked for Oak Mitsui in Hoosick Falls and at the time of his death, was employed by Vermont Composites in Bennington, Vt., for 11 years. He was an avid Boston Bruins hockey fan. Ernie enjoyed fishing, camping and all sports. His true love was his children and grandchildren.

Survivors besides his parents include two sons, Josh M. Brenenstuhl, of Hoosick Falls, Nick M. Brenenstuhl, of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Lynn M. (Joseph) Steller, of North Hoosick; two grandchildren, Skylar and Matthew Brenenstuhl; two nieces, Sarah and Shannon Steller along with many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main St., Hoosick Falls on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. for visitation. A funeral service will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.

Burial will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday in the Hoosick Rural Cemetery. All are invited to attend.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (memorialshelp@diabetes.org) or the Berlin Rod & Gun Club, Plank Rd. Berlin, NY 12022 in loving memory of Ernest W. Brenenstuhl.
