Everett L. Fairclough 1935-2011 Everett L. Fairclough 75, passed away on Friday February 4, 2011 at the Hoosick Falls health Center after a brief illness. He resided on Albany Street in Hoosick with his wife of twenty-eight years Eleanor S. Fairclough. Everett was born on March 22, 1935 in Brookfield, Conn., son of the late Lester and Mildred (Plummer) Fairclough. He received his education in Danbury and was employed by the city of Danbury for thirty years until his retirement. He was an avid stock car driver in the Danbury area and was a member of the Danbury Racing Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 in Bethel, Conn. He served for eight years in the United States Air Force with honorable discharge. Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching stock car racing. He was a faithful member of Community Alliance Church in Hoosick Falls. Survivors other than his wife Eleanor include his children Mitchell and wife Sharon of Douglasville, Ga., Michael and wife Diane of New Milford, Conn., Robert of New Milford, Conn., Todd of Chattanooga, Tenn., Curt and wife Karen of New Straitsville, Ohio, Debra and husband Robert Thompson on Frederckton, Ohio. He is also survived by a sister Allayne Bowers of Sarasota, Fla., nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Everett is predeceased by two sons Scott Fairclough and Sherman Slaving also a granddaughter Karla. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad or the Hoosick Falls Health Center through the funeral home.
