Fay E. Joslin 1922 - 2009 BENNINGTON Fay E. Joslin, 86, a resident of Bradford Street, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Pownal. Born in Manchester Depot, May 29, 1922, son of Ora A. and Wilma B. Clayton Joslin. Fay received his education in the Dorset schools. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army Armor Division from Dec. 23, 1942 until Oct. 14, 1945. Fay married the former Grace E. Stevens on March 1, 1942 at the Zion Episcopal parsonage in Manchester. Mrs. Joslin died April 21, 2008. Fay was employed for forty years as a utility man by Central Vermont Public Service Company until his retirement in 1984. He was a former member of both the American Legion and VFW Posts in Manchester. Fay enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. He leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and John Pettibone of Pownal and a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Joslin of Bennington; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Fay was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jeanne Joslin, and by a sister and brother, Edith Christensen and Warren A. Joslin. FUNERAL NOTICE: At Mr. Joslin's request funeral services will be private. Burial will take place in the family lot in Andersonville Cemetery, West Glover, Vermont. Should friends desire contributions in Mr. Fay E.
