Midge enjoyed the beach, arts, symphonies, jazz concerts, Cape Cod, long walks, tennis, skiing, dancing, reading and laughing. She was interested in politics, the environment, social injustice, women's issues and participated in many community organizations, served on the board of child and family services and was active in the Concord school district PTO's. She enjoyed traveling with friends and trips to CA to visit with her two sons and grandchildren, where she eventually moved to in 2013. She is survived by her brother Theodore Thomas and his wife Norma of Bennington, VT, two sons, Christopher Daugherty and his wife Julie of West Covina, CA and their son Austin; Michael Daugherty and his wife Rebecca of Arcadia, CA and their two daughters, Taylor and Alexandra, step-daughters Betsy Carter of Concord, NH and Nancy Kemp and her husband Toby of Bermuda and Boston, MA; and step-son Rick Greene and his wife Karen of Cornwall, VT.
