Frances L. Croyle 1931 - 2012 HOOSICK FALLS, NY Frances L. (Ganser) Croyle, 81, of Hoosick Falls died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the home of her sister Lorraine Pratt in Buskirk. She was the wife of the late William Wendell Croyle, who predeceased her in 1996. Born in Buskirk, NY on April 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Anna Maria (Wieland) Ganser. Mrs. Croyle was educated in the Buskirk and Hoosick Falls public school systems. She worked as a seamstress at the Undergarment in Hoosick Falls and later at Thompson's Mill in Bennington, VT. Frances loved her family and took special pleasure in working in her yard and keeping the grounds surrounding her home meticulously manicured. Frances is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Pratt and Lois Ganser, both of Buskirk. She is also survived by her Goddaughter and niece, Sandra (Pratt) Zerrillo of Slingerlands; niece, Susan (Ganser) Eaton of Brookfield, WI, and her nephews, Joseph Ganser of Vero Beach, FL and Brian Ganser of Napa, CA. She was also the loving great-aunt to Lexi Zerrillo, who was the apple of her eye. In addition to her family, she is survived by two very dear friends Daniel Peer and Francis Harris both of Hoosick Falls. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph A. Ganser, and her sister, Evelyn (Ganser) Boyce. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main St., Hoosick Falls, NY 12090. The interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Schaghticoke, NY. The family would like to thank Dr. Marcus Martinez and the staff and volunteers from Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, especially Jamie, Cory, Sandy, Debbie, Patricia and Clyde for their compassion and care given to Frances in her final months.
