Frances E. Grover 1918 - 2011 BENNINGTON, VT Frances E. Grover, 92, a lifelong resident of East Arlington, Vermont, passed away peacefully, May 20, 2011 at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation in Bennington. Frances was born in East Arlington on June 28, 1918, daughter of John F. and Lena (Burton) Donahue. She attended Ludlow, Vermont elementary schools and Arlington Memorial High School. Frances worked as a sales clerk for Griffin's Furniture and Christmas Days and later for Candle Mill Village in East Arlington. She married Medric Grover on August 6, 1936. Mr. Grover passed away October 20, 1992. Frances was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Sodality and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 69 Women's Auxiliary, Arlington, Vermont. She enjoyed doing charity work, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She loved flowers, flower gardening and vegetable gardening, especially rhubarb. Frances is survived by her children; Patricia Perrott and her husband Patrick of Bennington, Jo-Ann Mattison of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Gary Grover and his wife, Diane, of Jackson, Georgia and Stanley Grover and his wife, Deirdra, of San Antonio, Texas, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Frances Kay Grover, her brothers John and Henry Donahue, sisters Mary Galli, Catherine Stroffoleno and Dorothy Keniston and her sons-in-law Andrew Mattison and Albert Watson. FUNERAL NOTICE: A liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning May 26, 2011 at 11am at Christ Our Savior (St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church), in Arlington, Vermont. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Columban's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday May 25, 2011 at HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME ARLINGTON CHAPEL Historic Route 7A Arlington, from 6-8pm when the family will be in attendance.
