BENNINGTON -- Frank Laurence Sharman, 74, a resident of County Street, Bennington, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

He was born in Littleton, N.H., Aug. 13, 1933. He was the son of the late Frank and Emma (Bolduc) Sharman. He received his education in Portsmouth, N.H. He married the former Doris M. Weber Feb. 13, 1965, in White River Junction. Mrs. Sharman died June 16, 2001.

Frank was a sheet metal worker and had been employed by several different companies in New Hampshire. He was a member of the Boston Local 17 New Hampshire Chapter and a member of Redmen’s Lodge in both Rollinsford and Salmon Falls, N.H. Frank’s interests included model airplanes, prospecting, photography, travel and the joy of cooking and eating.

Survivors include two step-sons, James Thompson of North Adams, Mass., and Brian Thompson of Bennington; four step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; is best friends Michael and Nancy Jordan of Shaftsbury; three sisters, Dolores Richards of Rochester, N.H., Barbara Sharman of Hudson, N.H., and Nancy Perez of Hudson, N.H., a brother Bradley Sharman of Barrington, N.H. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a step-son Charles Thompson and a sister Joyce Spicer.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Frank Laurence Sharman will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Deborah Estey, pastor of the Shaftsbury Methodist Church officiating
