PERRINE, Fla. -- Freddie Lee Brown ,49, was summoned by his Lord and Savior on Aug. 15, 2003 in Perrine at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley Brown of Perrine.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1954 in Homestead, son of the late John and Dorothy Brown. He relocated to Bennington, Vt. where he attended Mt. Anthony Union High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. His travels took him to various places in the world.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Freddie Lee Brown Jr. and Lance Willie Brown; five daughters, Linda Lee Brown, Shannon F. Parrish, Tasha M. Jones, Keisha L. Brown and La Keisha Brown; twins, Melissa and Michael Dumpson; two brothers J.C. Brown and John Brown; three sisters Paula, Nicole and Angela Brown; two sisters-in-law, Linda and Velma Brown; five grandchildren Zhaina, Teresa, Jeania and Georgiana and Sam. He is also survived by seven nieces, three nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at 11 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls. Rev. Joseph Manerowski, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m.
