Frederic D. Wyman

1933 - 2010 MANCHESTER CENTER, VT Frederic D. Wyman, 76, a lifelong resident of Manchester and a resident of Cross Road, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Frederic was born at home on May 16, 1933, son of Joseph and Doris Dorr Wyman. He received his education in Manchester schools and graduated from Burr and Burton Seminary. Frederic worked as a lumber grader for many years and in his earlier years worked for Sweezey's in Manchester and Baxter's Lumber Company in Bennington. Frederic was a jack of all trades. He owned his own firewood business, chair caning , lawn mowing, snow plowing and care taking business. He was a Navy veteran, serving his country during the Korean Conflict and was also a ham radio enthusiast.

Frederic enjoyed his home and cherished time spent with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

Frederic leaves his wife, the former Louise Parker, whom he married in Manchester in 1960; his children, Joseph Wyman and his longtime companion, Laurie Wilcox, of Arlington and Bonni Wyman-Waite and her husband, Ron, of Pawlet; his brother, Clarence "Pete" Wyman of Dorset; his grandchildren, Marci, Lee and Ronnie Waite; his great-grandchildren Corey and Paige Moore, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his children, Deborah, Frederic and Wendy Wyman.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside funeral services for Frederic will be held Monday afternoon, May 17, 2010, at Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester at 2 p.m. There are no visiting hours.
