Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The Burial Office with Eucharist was celebrated for Mr. Frederick A. “Ted” Watson on Saturday morning at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Anita Schell-Lambert, rector officiating. Assisting at the services was the Rev. Penny Hawkins, Mr. Watson’s sister-in-law, and Deacon of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The Crucifer was his niece, Ms. Colleen Gates.

The organist for the Burial Office was Mr. Randal Krum. Selected hymns for the service were “How Great Thou Art,” “Bread Of Life” and “Here I Am Lord.”

The scriptures were read by Mrs. Janice Lincoln, and his brother-in-law, Mr. Richard Farrara. The Eulogy was offered by his son, Mr. Rick Watson. Ushers for the Burial Office were Mr. Ronald Myers and Mr. Richard Farrara.

The urn bearer for the service was the Rev. Penny Hawkins.

The committal services followed at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington where the Rev. Penny Hawkins offered the prayers of committal.

A time of fellowship followed at the Mount Anthony Lodge, F & AM in Bennington.

Attending the services were several members of the Mount Anthony Lodge F & AM of Bennington and The Red Mountain Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Arlington, where Mr. Watson was a very active member of both.

Mr. Frederick A. “Ted” Watson, 78, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a short illness.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
