Gary Steven Hebert

1951-2013 RICHMOND Gary Steven Hebert, 62, of 176 Summit Road, Richmond, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on May 29, 1951, a son of Elizabeth Neilson Hebert and the late Alfred A. Hebert, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.

A Viet Nam War veteran, Mr. Hebert enlisted with the United States Air Force on November 30, 1970. He was appointed Sergeant on September 1, 1972, and was honorably discharged on May 8, 1974.

Mr. Hebert was a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Hebert enjoyed music. He played the guitar and piano. At one time, he had his own band, "The Forgotten Ones".

Besides his mother of Richmond, he leaves a son, Jorel Hebert, of Pittsfield; a brother, David A. Hebert and his companion, Linda Simonelli, of Fort Myers, Florida; a sister, Patricia A. Eddy and her husband, Lynn, of Pittsfield; several nieces and nephews; as well as his former wife, Judith Jarrett Lamke of Richmond.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services for Gary Steven Hebert will be held Tuesday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m., at Richmond Center Cemetery (State Road, Route 41) with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richmond Ambulance in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
