Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Gaylord Harrington were held on Monday afternoon, May 5, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Bennington with the Rev. Norma Drosky, pastor, officiating. Heather York, pianist, played and led the congregation in singing “What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” which was a favorite of Mr. Harrington’s. She also sang the song “Flying Free.” Tributes and remembrances were offered by several in attendance. Interment followed in the family lot in Waite Cemetery in Shaftsbury.

Pallbearers for the services were; his grandsons, Frank Harrington, James “JT” Harrington, and nephews; Kenneth Welch, Robert Welch, Harry Harmon and David Ary. Attending the visitation and conducting memorial services were members of the Mount Anthony Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons.

Gaylord H. Harrington, 89, a life long resident of East Road in Bennington, died on Wednesday afternoon, April 30, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation. Arrangements were under the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 957, Bennington, Vermont.
