Georgia Armstrong Davis BENNINGTON Georgia Armstrong Davis, daughter of the late Georgia Burns Armstrong and William H. Armstrong of Bennington passed peacefully Thursday July 19, 2012. Georgia was predeceased by her husband, the late Lester H. Davis of Bennington. Together they owned and managed L.H. Davis Construction and Moving, Inc. prior to sale of operations to their son, Bill. Together they also owned and managed Catamount Mobile Home Park in Bennington. Georgia was very involved in the Vermont R.E. Association having held the position of President of Bennington County Real Estate, a Director of Vermont R.E. Realtors for several years, a Director of Vermont R.E. @ Tri-State, and for 10 years appointed by Governor Snelling to the Vermont Real Estate Commission. She owned and ran Davis Realty for many years in Bennington. Georgia is survived by a son and a daughter. Her son William H. Davis (Bill) of Bennington and his significant other Peggy Davis and his daughter Aubrey of Burlington. Georgia's daughter, Georgia Duininck and her daughters Grace and Catherine all of Tulsa, OK. Georgia is also survived by her sister Jacquelyn Martin of Danby and Florida, along with her brothers John Lyman Armstrong and his family of Montpelier, and Russell Armstrong and family of St. Albans. Georgia was pre-deceased by a brother William H. Armstrong. Services will be private with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery with her husband, Lester.
