Gerald A. Harley, 72, of Broomfield, CO died on 9/10/15.Gerry was a long-time resident of Hoosick Falls, NY where he raised his children until he moved to Colorado in the 90s. Gerry was born in Philadelphia, graduating from West Catholic High and earning his bachelors degree from La Salle University. After college he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Roswell, NM and Waco, TX. During that time he developed an affinity for travel, often hopping in his VW Bug and exploring the southwest. After being honorably discharged as a Captain from the Air Force, Gerry wanted a career helping people. He earned his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and practiced for over 40 years. Gerry was a loyal friend with an uncrushable sense of humor. He enjoyed philosophy, traveling, the outdoors, genealogy, music, animals and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, who were his pride and joy. Gerry traveled to places like Italy, China, Ecuador and across the US. Some of his favorite spots were Cape May, NJ, the Grand Canyon and the Rocky Mountains. He is survived by three daughters: Amanda (Brett) Long, Andrea Harley and Aimee (Jason) Harley Kinkelaar; also four beloved grandchildren: Lillianna & Thomas Long, Violet & Aidan Kinkelaar; brother James Harley; and close friends.
