BURLINGTON -- Mr. Gerald Koks, former resident of Dorset, Heemstede, the Netherlands and Burlington thereafter, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 6, 2005, at his home on North Avenue in Burlington at 2:30 a.m.

He was born in the Netherlands, May 30, 1971, in Heemstede and came to Dorset in June 1978.

He passed his educational years in Dorset and later at the American School in the Hague, Netherlands.

He then came back to the U.S. for further education at Landmark College in Putney, where he met his later girlfriend and fiancé Jenna Braverman.

He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1996, which he managed to control until 2005. During his 34 years, he lived life to the fullest and was able to bring a powerful inspiration to all of his environment with friends and family who all came by during the last months to thank him for what he had given them of himself.

Survivors include the pride of his life, fiancé Jenna Braverman; his parents, Alex Koks and Hanneke Beukenkamp; his sister and her husband, Marianne and Matthew Bickford, and niece and nephew, Kelsie and Paul; his brother and wife, Paul and Jacqueline Koks, and two nephews Maartin and Mark.

A ceremony in celebration of his life will be held at the United Church of Dorset on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 1:30 p.m.
