Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Gerald N. Maxon were held Tuesday evening, April 26, 2006 at the Hanson Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St. in Bennington. The Rev. Deborah Estey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Bennington, conducted the service. Committal services with military honors were conducted Wednesday morning, April 29, 2005 in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal. The Rev. Estey offered burial rites and committal prayers. Members ftom the American Legion Post 90 in Pownal included Milt Hattat and Paul Leon. Taps was sounded by commander Jack Moxley. Chaplain Edward Pratt of American Legion Post 152, Williamstown, Mass., offered words of remembrance.

Gerald N. Maxon, a longtime resident of Settlers Road and Emerald Lane in Williamstown, Mass., died April 21, 2005 at New England Medical Center in Boston. Arrangements were under the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home.
