Geraldine Marie Kornn

1947-2013 Geraldine Marie (Harwood) Kornn, 65, of 52 Mill Street, Williamstown, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Kornn was born in North Adams on November 9, 1947, daughter of the late Oliff and Blanche (Coppersmith) Harwood. She attended school in Williamstown, graduating from Williamstown High School. Mrs. Kornn was employed at North Adams Regional Hospital, KMART and lastly at the Springs Motel. She also helped her husband in running their business, Gene's Ceramics. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Kornn who she married on August 9, 1973, her five children, Leonard Kornn of New York, Pamela Rahilly of Pittsfield, David Kornn of Texas, Melisa Sherman and her husband Clyde of Bennington, and Michelle Kornn of Williamstown, as well as four stepchildren, Charlotte Middleton, Lorie Mitchell, Eileen Goss and Jess Bellinger. She leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Anita Jennings of Williamstown, three brothers, Leonard Harwood Sr. of Pownal, Austin Harwood of North Carolina and Harry Harwood of Florida and a close family friend, Bruce Burdick of North Adams. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Moses and Frederick Harwood and two grandchildren, Travis Kornn and Jeremy Rahilly. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Geraldine Kornn will be held on Monday August 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling hours for Mrs. Kornn are Sunday August 25, 2013 from 4-7 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home WEST Chapels 521 West Main Street North Adams, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the through the funeral home.
