Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Gladys M. Ruggles Holland were held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, with the Rev. John Goyette, pastor of the Green Mountain Christian Center, officiating.

Musical selections offered during the service and sung by Tina Turpins, her husband, Tom and their children, Katie, Lindsay and Chelsea were “Lullaby,” “Blue Skies” and “You Are In My Heart.”

Words of remembrance were offered by Mrs. Holland’s children, Sandra Leonard, Herbert C., Thomas A. and Donald I. Holland. Mrs. Holland’s grandchildren, Tina and Wendy, also offered remembrances.

Bearers were four grandchildren, Candy Hull, Wendy Greene, Tina Turpin and Angela Carey and three great-grandchildren, Ricky Greene, Josh Carey and Caleb Greene. Also serving as bearers were Paul Schobert and John Long. The burial took place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Goyette offering the committal prayers.

A reception followed at the home of Wendy Greene.

Mrs. Gladys M. Ruggles Holland, better known as “Little Gram,” died Thursday June 16, 2005, in Bennington. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington.
