Glenn A. Haseman Obituary

Glenn A. Haseman, age 69, a resident of Matteson Rd, North Bennington died at home on Friday morning, January 20, 2017 following a brief illness, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 26, 1947 in Palatine, IL and was the son of the late William and Alice Haseman. He attended schools in Desplaines and graduated from high school in 1965, and entered the Army and served in Viet Nam until 1967.

Upon his return he went to work for Oak Materials Group in Crystal Lake, IL as Senior Schudler, where he met his wife, the former Ginger Morris, and married her May 20, 1972.

He attended Harper College in Schumburg, IL through the company, where he studied Computer Programming and Systems Analysis. His job brought him to Hoosick Falls, NY in 1984. The family has resided in Bennington. Following his retirement from St. Gobain after thirty-five years, he went to work at Hannaford's in Bennington and later Home Depot and retired from there after six years.

Glenn then joined with his wife Ginger to open and operate Ginger's Corner for four years. They both retired in 2013.

He loved life, camping, woodworking and working in the yard. He and his wife enjoyed road trips, and going out to breakfast. Traveled for reunions with old friends and the "Pop Toppers", camping buddies. He enjoyed nightly campfires and listening to the oldies music.

His greatest treasures were his two grandsons: Shawn and Cullin and his great granddaughter Lorana who brought him great joy and happiness.

Survivors besides his wife include his two daughters: Christina (Brian Dommke) Haseman of North Bennington and Cindy (Ted) Daigneault of Bennington. He leaves two grandsons; Shawn Haseman and Cullin Daigneault of Bennington, and his great granddaughter Lorana Austin of North Bennington. He leaves two brothers; William (Darlene) Haseman of Huntley, IL and Jerry Haseman of Joliet, IL. as well as one nephew Kenneth Morris of Bennington.
