CHERRY PLAIN, N.Y. -- Glenn Maynard Goodermote, 77, of Madison Hollow Road, died on Wednesday morning at his sister Goldie’s home in Webster, N.Y.

Born in Pittsfield, Mass., on Sept. 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Maynard V. and Rina A. Merritt Goodermote. A lifelong resident of Cherry Plain, he graduated from Berlin High School and was drafted into the United States Army in 1951. After his honorable discharge, Glenn worked for Wade Lupe Construction in Schenectady for 29 years and Carl Blanchard in Troy for 9 years as a carpenter. He attended the Cherry Plain Community Church. His hobbies included woodworking, carpentry and gardening.

He is survived by his sister, Goldie Mae Trottier of Rochester, N.Y., along with many cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Betty Jean Goodermote.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. in the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, with burial to follow in the Berlin Baptist Cemetery. Calling hours will be in the funeral home on Monday, June 25 from 4 to 7 p.m.
