WALLOOMSAC, N.Y. -- Grace Sullivan, 83, died Tuesday April 8, 2003 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt. She was the wife of the late Edward E. Sullivan.

She was born Sept. 5, 1919 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., daughter of the late Henry and Lena (Tinney) Knowlton. Grace was educated at schools in Saratoga Springs and was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the North Hoosick Fire Department Auxiliary and a former member of the Hoosick Falls Elks Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters Helen Cipperly of Hoosick Falls and Theresa Smith and her husband Randy of Greenwich; two sons Robert Knowlton of Troy and Thomas Sullivan and his wife Jackie of North Hoosick; also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Lloyd and Floyd Knowlton.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at a later date at Island Hill Cemetery in Buskirk.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either the North Hoosick Fire Department or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
