Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for H. Glenn Remington Jr. were held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was offered by Rev. Robert Lozinski, c. s. c. , pastor.

Organist was Donald McMahon and soloist was Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the funeral service were “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Just A Closer Walk.”

The funeral pall was placed on Mr. Remington’s casket by seven of his grandchildren, Shannon Marie Remington, Christopher J. Remington Jr. , Brooke Anne Remington, Nicholas Glenn Remington, Chelsea Katherine Remington, Jayman David Remington and Kaitlin Anne Remington. The scriptural readings were offered by a son, H. Glenn Remington III and Norman J. Boyden III. The offertory gifts were presented by three of Mr. Remington’s children, Nancy Roberts, Christopher and David Remington. Words of remembrance were offered by his son Glenn and granddaughter Shannon.

Bearers were his four sons, Glenn, David, Christopher and Jeffrey and two friends, Howard Greenslet and Joseph Schaaf.

A prayer service at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home preceded the funeral mass.

Wednesday evening Father Lozinski offered the Wake Service at the funeral home.

Burial took place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery with Rev.

Michael Demasi offering the committal prayers. The American flag was presented to Mr. Remington’s widow, Mary Louise Remington, by Joseph Krawczyk Sr. of American Legion Post 13 in Bennington.

Mr. Remington died Oct. 27, 2003 at his residence on Washington Avenue in Bennington.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
