HOOSICK, N.Y. -- Haley Rose Decatur, 8, entered eternal life on Aug. 3, 2006. Her loving personality, beautiful smile and busy attitude will be missed by so many people who love her.

Haley was born on April 27, 1998, in Albany, daughter of Anna (Peters) Decatur and stepdaughter of of Robert K. Moon of Cropseyville, and daughter of the late Brian Decatur.

Haley was a student at the Brittonkill Central School where she would have been in the third grade this fall. She had so many friends that loved her. She was an outgoing, spirited, vivacious little girl who was so full of life. She easily could wrap any one of Anna and Bob’s friends around her finger.

Haley loved to ride her four-wheeler and snowmobile while at her dad’s. At home, you easily found her on her go-kart or the riding lawnmower. She was the entrepreuner of the “hill,” always setting up a lemonade stand and spending her dollars wisely at garage sales with Mom.

Survivors other than her mother Anna and Bob include her step-mother, Cheryl (Crispell), step-brother, Kyle Moon, of Charlotte, N.C.; step-sister, Katie Moon, of Valley Falls; her maternal grandparents, Fred and Marge Peters, of Hudson, N.Y.; paternal grandparents, Jay Decatur and wife, Ellen, of Endwell, and Moya (McCabe) Krohn of Binghamton; her step-grandparents, Robert and Jane Moon, of Cropseyville; niece of Charles M. Peters (Carol), Kim Horton, Keith Peters, Lisa Dresdner (Edgar) and Michael Decatur (Erica). Haley is also survived by several other aunts, uncles and cousins in her large and loving family. She is predeceased by her father, Brian Decatur; sister, Brianna Decatur; half-sister, Gardin Decatur; and step-brother, Cade May.

A Christian mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. from the Brunswick Elks Lodge on Route 2 in Brunswick.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Brittonkill Central School through the funeral home.
