WHITE CREEK, N.Y. -- Hans E. Jaeger Jr., 60, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany. He resided on the White Creek Road with his wife Beth (Peterson) Jaeger.

He was born March 27, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo. the son of Hans and Evelyn (Thomas) Jaeger. Hans graduated from St. Louis University, Parks College for aeronautical administration he also received a masters in business from the University of San Diego. He retired from the United States Navy as a lt. commander on Sept. 30, 1990. Hans enjoyed sharing his time with his wife Beth. They had a love for nature, and the camp they were building in the Adirondacks. Hans had many interest including antique canoes, rebuilding old cars, woodworking, cats which he use to breed as well as show. His high point of his Navy career was time spent as a member of the Antarctica Support Squadron. Hans spent many hours curling and competing with friends at the Albany Curling Club.

Survivors other then his wife Beth include his, mother Evelyn (Thomas) Jaeger, two sons Kirk and Eric Jaeger, one brother Thomas Jaeger and his wife Carolyn of Rochester, New York also survived by a niece and nephew and a great niece and nephew.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 17 at 10:15 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls and 11 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, in Newark, New York.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany Curling Club for the purchase of a Cardiac Defibrillator (AED) through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, N.Y. 12090.
