HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Harold Maynard Decker, 65, of Elm Street, died on Tuesday at the Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.

Born April 26, 1942, in Pittsfield, Mass., he was the son of the late Harold R. and Ethel Maynard Decker. After the death of his mother, he traveled extensively working in various carnivals.

He returned to the Hoosick Falls area 18 years. He loved bird watching, fishing and country-western music. He was an all around “fix-it’ man.

Survivors include his sisters, Jean Wilson of Hoosick Falls, Bette Perry of Cohoes, his dear friends, Bernie and Arlene Guerard of Hoosick Falls, along with nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Marjorie Bierwirth and Harry R. Decker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main St., Hoosick Falls. Springtime interment will take place in the Grafton Rural Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home on Friday starting at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad.
