CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Mr. Harold F. Aubrey Sr., 68, a resident of Rexleigh Road Cambridge, New York died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Born in Adamsville on Oct. 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Irene B. (Burwash) Aubrey. He received his education in Hartford. He married the former Joann Lauzon March 6, 1976, in Cambridge.

Harold was a farmer most of his life and also drove a milk truck for many years. For 15 years Harold and Joann owned a farm in Cambridge. He was last employed by the town of Cambridge until he was forced to retire due to ill health.

Harold enjoyed talking on the CB Radio and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Aubrey of Cambridge; two daughters, Carlyn Johnson of Syracuse and Mary Aubrey of Hudson Falls; two sons, Mark Aubrey of Hartford and Harold “Chip” Aubrey Jr. of Cambridge; three grandchildren; five brothers, Robert B. Aubrey of Hartford, Willard D. Aubrey of Adamsville, Donald L. Aubrey of Granville, Richard J. Aubrey of Adamsville and Gordon D. Aubrey of Argyle; a sister, Claire R. Hamilton of Blue Mountain Lake; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Julie Ann Aubrey; a sister, Margaret Aubrey; and a brother, Howard G. Aubrey.

The funeral will be held from the McClellan Funeral Home, East Broadway, Salem, on Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Hamilton, pastor of the Rensselaer Open Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will take place in the family lot in the Morning Side Cemetery in Hartford.

Friends may call at the McClellan Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
