Harriette A Walsh 1926 -2009 SIMI VALLEY, CA Harriette A. Walsh, died Sunday, Aug. 23, at Simi Valley Care Center in Simi Valley Calif. Born in Monroe, La., May 25, 1926, daughter to Nathan P. and Hazel Dotson White. She grew up in Concord, N.H., where she graduated from Concord High School in 1943; went on to the University of NH to pursue the field of medical technology. She was employed at Concord Hospital for many years until she moved to Vermont to become the supervisor of the laboratory at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Bellows Falls, Vt., in the mid 70's. She continued her career to become the evening supervisor at North Adams Regional Hospital in North Adams, Mass., prior to retiring. She married Harold W. Ayer, Jr. in 1947. She spent many happy years summering and raising her family between Lake Massasecum in Bradford, N.H., and Henniker, N.H. She enjoyed the NH seacoast to include and occasional lobster cookout at Hilton Park in Portsmouth, N.H. Harold predeceased her in 1968. She married Daniel A Walsh in North Walpole, N.H. July 12, 1975. They resided in Pownal, Vt., for many years. Daniel predeceased her in 1996. She wintered in California with her brother, Nathan P. White Jr., and his wife, Guyneth, for several years before moving to Vintage Paseo, Simi Valley, Calif., permanently in 2004. She is also survived by her brother, William T White of Las Vegas, Nev. Many neices and nephews. She was an avid reader with a book in hand at any given moment. She was an excellent cook and crafts person from knitting, oil painting, to include a legacy of hand painted and fired ceramics that will be enjoyed for years to come. She had a soft spot for Siamese, loved her cats and had several of all breeds throughout her life. She always loved good jokes and funny stories. Bus trips to Casinos and bingo were her favorite past times. She leaves her son John D. Ayer of Bellows Falls, Vt., and daughter, Jayne Ayer Anderson King of Claremont, N.H. Grandson's Heath E. Anderson of Springfield, Vt., with her great-granddaughter, Natalie Mae. Clint W. Anderson, and his wife Megan, of White River, Jct. with her great-grandson, Owen Jason. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. MEMORIAL NOTICE: Memorial services will be private.
