Harris Snoparsky

1950 - 2009 Obituary Condolences
Harris Snoparsky, D.C., beloved husband and father died unexpectedly 24 December 2009 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. He was born 12 April 1950 in Philadelphia, the son of Sylvia and Norman Snoparsky . He was a graduate of Central High School (226) in Philadelphia, attended Philadelphia’s Temple University, and was a 1984 graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. Harris practiced in South Burlington for three years before moving to Bennington, when he assumed the practice of Francis Brooks, D.C. In 2000, Harris expanded his practice to include Manchester’s Chiropractic Care Center.

He is survived by his wife, Betsey Belvin and daughter April, a student at Temple’s Beasley School of Law. Harris and Betsey celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on 5 December. He is also survived by his sister Mindi, as well as a host of family and friends.

Harris was a devoted member of the Baha’i Faith, around which his life revolved. He was deeply involved in the study of Middle Eastern history and politics and spent many hours in discussion with friends on topics pertaining to those issues. As a native Philadelphian, Harris was a lifelong avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, and Flyers, alternately cheering or coaching from the living room.

Friends are welcome to be present while family offers prayers at 10:30A.M., Saturday, 26 December, starting at 10:30 at the Mahar Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, Vermont. Interment will follow immediately.

Those wishing to make contributions in Harris’ name may send them to the Bennington Rescue Squad or Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
