GREENWICH, N.Y. -- Harvey E. Baker, 82, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility in Argyle, N.Y. where he had resided for the put year.

Born Feb. 22, 1921 in Greenwich, he was the son of Arthur and Edith (Mead) Baker. He was a 1939 graduate of Greenwich High School where he was active in music and sports.

Harvey served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during W.W.II and when he was honorably discharged held the rank of staff sergeant. He retired from Scott Paper Co. in Fort Edward, N.Y. after 30 years service as finishing department foreman.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Baker.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Loretta (Austin) Baker; three sons, David and wife Marilyn of Pasco, Wash., Daniel and wife Elaine of Greenwich, and Gary and companion Deborah Keough of Long Lake; seven granddaughters; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5 at 1l a.m. at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with the Rev. Dr. Judith Johnson-Siebold officiating. Interment will follow in the Gerald R.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-3pm at the funeral home.
