Obituary Condolences

ARLINGTON -- Hazel B. Leno, 77, a lifelong resident of Arlington, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Hazel was born in West Arlington on Dec. 14, 1929, the daughter of Carroll and Ethel (Phillips) Smith and attended Sandgate schools. She worked for many years at Mack Molding in Arlington, retiring after 40 years of service. Hazel enjoyed playing bingo, canasta, Yatzee and word search books. She loved to cook and cherished times spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, most of them whom she raised.

Hazel is survived by her longtime care givers Helen and Randy Muir of Arlington; two sisters Jeanette and Hilda Woodcock of Arlington; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Leno; two brothers, Leon and Donald Smith; and her sister, Mildred Conlin.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.
