Hazel M. Delude
1919 - 2010 BENNINGTON, VT Hazel M. Delude, 90, a former resident of Elm Street in Bennington, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation, following a brief illness.
She was born in Bennington Dec. 13, 1919, daughter of Ernest and Stella Granger Dean. Hazel received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School.
She married Joseph G. Delude on May 29, 1945. Mr. Delude died August 16, 1992. Mr. and Mrs. Delude lived in Oxford, Mass., prior to moving to Bennington in 1970.
Hazel was employed at the New England Bell Co., from which she retired. She volunteered as a Gray Lady at the Putnam Memorial Hospital and was also a volunteer at the Green Mountain Chapter of the American Red Cross. Hazel was a member of the American Legion Post 13 Auxiliary.
She leaves a daughter, Diane Delude of Tulsa, Okla.; her nieces, Kathy Dean and her husband, Bob, of Waterbury and Sandra Breen of Arlington, Texas; her cousins, Douglas Sweet and his wife, Linda, and Sam Levitte and his wife, Cindy, all of Bennington.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The burial will take place at the family homestead in Waterbury, VT, at the convenience of the family.
