BENNINGTON -- Heidi Irene Eddy Lake, 45, a resident of White Birches Community Park in Bennington, died at her residence on Monday morning, Jan. 26, 2004, unexpectedly.

She was born in Bennington on March 4, 1958 and was the daughter of Charles and Juanita (Hyatt) Eddy. She received her education in Manchester, attending Sandbox Preschool, Manchester Elementary, and Burr and Burton Seminary. On March 4,1984 she married Warren “Butch” Lake in Manchester. The family had lived in Manchester until about a year ago, when they moved to Bennington. Mrs. Lake was employed as a clerk at the Stewart’s Shop in Bennington. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and helping other people.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Jeffrey Lake of Springfield; three daughters and one son-in-law, Ashley and Murphy of Guam, Katelynn and Marrisa, both of Bennington; she has one granddaughter, Michaela of Guam; her mother-in-law, Betty Lake of Manchester; and three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Brown of Arlington, Wanda Bowen of Sunderland, and Elizabeth Cole of North Bennington; she also has aunts, uncles and cousins.

The burial office will be celebrated on Monday afternoon, at 1 p.m., Feb. 2, 2004, at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester Center, with the Rev. John Mitchell officiating. Entombment will take place in the Factory Point Cemetery Vault. There are no calling hours scheduled.
