Heinz Paul Wieser 1940-2009 WINHALL Heinz Paul Wieser, 69, a resident of Stratton Mountain, Winhall, Vermont, and previously of Southampton, Massachusetts, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on October 5, 2009, in the presence of his loving family after a fifteen-plus year battle with cancer. Heinz was born February 16, 1940 in St. Johan, Styria, Austria, the son of Paul and Maria Royer Wieser. Heinz came to the United States in 1965 as a ski instructor at Mt. Tom in Massachusetts. Later, following his entrepreneurial streak, he became a real estate developer and ran a commercial painting company and a shopping plaza among other business pursuits. Heinz never gave up skiing and was a repeat Eastern and National Masters Ski Racing Champion. In addition to skiing, Heinz loved hiking, golf, fishing, gardening, travel and collecting mushrooms. Heinz leaves his wife, Anna Maria Beccari Wieser of Stratton Mountain, Winhall; his son, Paolo Wieser; daughter-in-law, Kelly; and granddaughters, Ella and Aura Liesl of Campton, N.H.; his daughter, Annalisa Wieser-Falch; son-in-law, Theo Falch; and grandsons, Paul Anton and Lukas of St. Anton, Austria, and Maxwell of Walpole, N.H. He was predeceased by his son, Renato Wieser, on May 11, 2006. FUNERAL NOTICE: Memorial Services for Heinz will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 9 a.m. at The Chapel of the Snows at Stratton Mountain, Vermont. The family will hold a private burial service at a later date.
