Obituary Condolences

ARLINGTON -- Helen B. (Murphy) Redmond of Arlington, formerly of Dedham, Mass., and Yarmouthport, Mass., died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, in Bennington. She was 85.

Mrs. Redmond was born in Boston, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Smallcomb) Murphy. She was a longtime Dedham resident before moving to Vermont. She worked in the customer service department for Eastco in Westwood, Mass.

She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Redmond.

She was the beloved mother of Francis J. Redmond and his wife Maryal of Arlington, Kenneth J. Redmond and his wife Carol of Wilmington, Mass., and the late William R. and John T. Redmond.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Frances Madden of Wolfeboro, N.H., Ruth Barrett of Osterville, Mass., Francis Murphy of Turner Falls, Mass., and the late Frederick Murphy, Catherine Reagan, Marie Hennis, and John Murphy. She was the sister-in-law of the late Thomas G. Redmond.

The funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Mass., on Thursday at 8 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Dedham at 9 a.m, with interment in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Mass. Visiting hours will take place Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
