Helen T. Loughlin

1919-2012 LENOX Helen T. Loughlin, 93, of the Curtis and formerly of Greylock Street in Lee, died Wednesday evening at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pittsfield, September 24, 1919, the daughter of Robert and Nellie Decker Cummings, she attended local schools and was a 1937 graduate of Lenox High School.

Mrs. Loughlin was a communicant of St. Ann's Church and for many years a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Lee. She married her husband, the late John Loughlin, on October 3, 1942 in St. Ann's Church. He died July 14, 1980.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Hoffman of Lenox and Mary Ellen Brennan of West Stockbridge; a sister, Rachel Corbett and her husband Larry of Lenox; her grandchildren, Sean Loughlin of Mount Dora, Fla., Hilary Hoffman of Reston, Va., and Brian Hoffman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her great grandchild, Logan Hoffman; son-in-law, Robert Hoffman; special cousin, Reggie Huggins; and many special friends especially Betty and Florence.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Kenneth, Louis, and Robert, as well as her son-in-law John Brennan.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Helen T. Loughlin, who died September 26, 2012, will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Church in Lenox celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen's name may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
