Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Helen (Henny) Bolio was born in Northfield on Aug. 24, 1918, and was the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Coutts) Wade. Although she did travel in her earlier years, Helen spent most of her life living in Vermont towns such as Hancock, Waitsfield, Warren, Randolph, Montpelier, and Bennington.

She was married to Clarence Bolio on Feb. 24, 1937 until his passing in 1989.

Helen was a hard working, and an “on-the-go person” who was always ready to help and do for others even if it meant going without herself.

She had a great eye for antiques and enjoyed going to and having her own tag sales. Helen loved children and always welcomed them to spend time with her. Helen was very much loved by her family and had lots of friends, she will be very deeply missed.

Helen’s survivors include one sister, Amy Bolio of Bennington; two nephews, Ronald Bolio, and Ralph Bolio. She has many great- and great-great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one nephew, Al Bolio.

At her request there will not be any public services.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center through the E. P. Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
