Obituary Condolences

NORTH BENNINGTON -- Helen Pangburn Perry, 85, died peacefully on the afternoon of July 4, 2007, at the Watson House. She was supported in her final hours by her family and the loving and caring staff of the Watson House.

Helen was born in upstate New York on June 26, 1922. She attended Indiana State University and worked as a teacher, recreation director and real estate agent. She and her husband, Leonard Perry, lived in Beverly Hills, Fla., for over 20 years. After his death in 2003 she moved to Vermont to be near her family. Helen was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her skill as an amateur landscape artist.

She is survived by her son, Martin Cummings, her daughter-in-law, Gail Mauricette, and her grandchildren, Daniel, Stephanie and Jason. In accordance with her wishes she will be interred next to her husband in Florida.

Gifts in memory of Helen may be made to the VNA and Hospice of Southern Vermont in care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.
