MANCHESTER -- Helen Pearl Wright, 80, a lifelong resident of the Manchester area, passed away at the Crescent Manor Care Center on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. She was born in Manchester on Aug. 2, 1926, the daughter of John C. and Iva (Nelson) Wright. She received her education in Manchester schools.

She was employed for many years at the IGA in East Arlington and Manchester and also worked for Red and White Grocer in Manchester. She had also worked for Center Cut Rate pharmacy in Manchester and was a Dental Assistant with Dr. I.S. Zecher. She enjoyed taking walks with her sister Emma.

She is survived by her nephew, John Wright Jr., of Arlington; a niece, Nancy Davidson, of Naugatuck, Conn; three great nieces and a great nephew. She was predeceased by her sisters Violet Taylor, Mabel Wright and Emma Payne, and her brothers John Wright Sr. and Charles Wright.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Brewster Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester. Pastor Robert Carpenter of the First Baptist Church in Manchester will officiate. Burial will take place in Factory Point Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
