Obituary Condolences

RUTLAND -- Henry A. Senecal, 89, of Rutland, died Saturday morning, July 10, 2004 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center following a long illness.

He was born in Wallingford on Oct. 14, 1914, the son of Alphonso and Margaret (Taylor ) Senecal

Mr. Senecal was raised in Mt. Holly, attended local schools and was married to Evelyn Dubeau on June 28, 1917 in Wallingford.

As a young man, he was employed at the Rutland Railroad prior to working for and operating the Davidson Farm of Wallingford.

He relocated his family to Manchester to operate the Senecal Family Farm until 1964 when he sold the farm and moved to Rutland. While in Rutland he was a self-employed general contractor and a heavy equipment operator.

He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God of Montpelier.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyn D. Senecal, of Rutland; two sons, Charles H. and his wife Lorrain Senecal of Manchester, Raymond J. and his wife Mary Senecal of Wallingford; two sisters, Laura Young and Margaret LeFevre, of Rutland; his brother Robert Senecal, of Chittenden; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in East Wallingford.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Aldous Funeral Home.
