Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Henry F. Cooper Jr. were held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, with the Rev. Michael Benoit officiating.

Musical selections offered during the service were, “I’d Choose You Again,” “Read My Mind” and “Pickup Man.”

Words of remembrance were offered by many of the family and friends in attendance. Mr. Cooper’s daughters, Nancy C. Woffenden and Ellen M. Redden, sang Psalm 100, “A Psalm of Praise.”

Bearers were Candace Redden, Donald Donisthorpe, John, Jeremy and James Woffenden.

The burial took place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Benoit offering the committal prayers. Military Taps were offered by Maurice Rancourt and the American Flag that draped the World War II veteran’s casket was folded by American Legion Post 13 members Joseph Krawczyk and Kenneth Coonradt and presented to Mrs. Cooper by Joseph Krawczyk.

A reception followed the service at the VFW Post 1332 on North St. in Bennington.

Mr. Henry F. Cooper, 79, a resident of South Stateline Road Hoosick Falls, N.Y., died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, in Bennington. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
