Henry E. Lester "Hank" 1925-2011 BENNINGTON Henry "Hank" E. Lester, 86, a resident of Gage Street, died peacefully January 9 at his home with his caregivers/grandchild Antoinette and Gary Todd by his side. Born in Fall River, Mass., on March 4, 1925, he was the son of Henry F. and Mary (Gates) Lester. He was a World War II Army veteran and had worked as a mechanic throughout his life. Hank was a life member of American Legion Post 37 in Bellows Falls, he enjoyed Bingo, building model structures from popsicle sticks, being outside with his friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves his caregiver, granddaughter Antoinette and husband Gary Todd Sr. of Pownal, children Noreene Bourdon of Athens, Rosemarie Blair and companion Gary Sage of Searsburg and Rosanna Carter of Tenn., Anthony Lester and wife Lucy of Springfield and Timothy Lester and wife Pat of Wethersfield. brother William Lester of Rhode Island, grandchildren, great grandchildren, former wives Helen Hureau and Irene Bellis. Predeceased by siblings Albert, Patrick, Eva and Rose; and sons George and Henry. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Friday at noon at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, burial will follow in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 11 until noon.
