Obituary Condolences

Henry C. Williams 1944 - 2010 VERGENNES, VT Henry Charles Williams passed from this world peacefully and quickly on Aug. 17, 2010, in Vergennes. He would have have been slightly amused that he worked till the day he left this world. Born in Bennington on Jan. 14, 1944, son of William and Nelle Sandersen Williams, he lived in Dorset until 1990. He spent his entire life in agriculture. His first job was working on the Pete Abbott farm in Dorset when he was 7 or 8 years old. He later was able to buy his own cattle and leased the Charlie Smith farm and William King fields in Dorset. In 1990 he moved his farming operations to Huntington where he purchased his own farm, "Fohr Acres," named for his maternal grandparents homeland. He sold this and went to work for Nordic Farms in Charlotte. At the time of his death he was working part time for the Cota Farm family. In his semi-retirement he became a flea market specialist and was held forth at the Charlotte flea market. He just loved wheeling and dealing within this career and loved the discovery of all of these long lost "gems." He loved to travel and had been to Israel and Europe. He also loved all the county fairs and seeing all the farm animals He never hesitated to state his opinion! He was a member in good standing of the "church on the mountaintop." He leaves his sister, Mary Williams Rowland, favorite nephew, Richard Charles Rowland, great-niece, Loralye Elizabeth Rowland, all of Midland, Texas; his aunt, Margaret Sandersen of Sandusky, Ohio; his cousins, Ruth Brownlee and Roger Rumney of Dorset, Tom Rumney of Houston, Texas, Louise Lemnah of Lake Grove, Long Island, N.Y., Joannne McLean and John Sandersen of The Villages Fla., Joyce Larsen of Strongsville, Ohio, Shirley Petrick and Jackie Sandersen of Sandusky, Ohio, Joe Sandersen of Monroe, Mich., and his all time favorite cousin, Betsy McWayne Johnson of Dorset. MEMORIAL NOTICE: He will be buried in the North Rupert Cemetery and memorials may be made to them. Memorial services are pending at this time.
