BENNINGTON -- Herbert C. Holland, 66, a former resident of Bennington, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at his home in Berthoud, Colo.

Born in Bennington, Aug. 21, 1940, he was the son of Irving Holland and the former Gladys Lozo. He received his education in the Bennington schools.

Mr. Holland was a plumber by trade and was employed by Winslow Plumbing & Heating, St. Cyr Plumbing & Heating as well as Robert Houran Plumbing & Heating.

He enjoyed stock car racing with his friends and family and his dog Charlie.

Survivors include his wife, Dale (Pulver) Holland of Berthoud, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike Schreiner of Loveland, Colo.; two sons, Herbert S. Holland of Loveland, Colo. and Thame Holland and his wife Kim of White Creek, N.Y.; a step-son, Allen F. Greene and his wife Sharon of New Hampshire; his grandchildren Danna and Michael Rees, Jordan Holland, Chassy Holland, Thame Holland Jr., Emily, Katie and Andrew Greene; great-grandchildren; Jade Holland, Dylan Dop, Cooper and Teagan Rees; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Ernie Leonard; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Linda Holland of Pownal and Donald and Belinda Holland of Deland, Fla.; an aunt, Evelyn Lantz of Bennington; his in-laws, William and Elaine Pulver; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Holland was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Joseph Cornell.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Herbert C. Holland will be held at the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 11 a.m.

Private committal services will take place at the convenience of the family.
