EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Hiram F. “Jock” Wyman, 81, of East Greenbush, died Monday, June 28, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy. Born in South Dorset, Vt., he had been a resident of the Capital Region for most of his life. He was a truck driver for Mobil Oil Co. in Albany for 34 years prior to his retiring in 1981. “Jock” was an avid Red Sox fan, a communicant of Church of the Holy Spirit Church in East Greenbush, and an Army Air Force Veteran of W.W. II who served in Iran.

He was predeceased by his parents, David and Helen (Tilston) Wyman, and a brother, David T. Wyman. He is survived by his loving wife Edna L. (Baker) Wyman of East Greenbush; a daughter, Michele M. (William) Daigle of East Greenbush; four sons, Michael F. (Teri) Wyman, David J. (Joy) Wyman, Daniel J. Wyman and Patrick T. (Renee) Wyman all of East Greenbush; two sisters, Elizabeth Pagano of Springhill, Fla. and Sister Marie Bernadette of Port Richey, Fla. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jennifer Daigle, Shawn Wyman, Amanda Wyman, Mathew Daigle, Thomas Wyman, Timothy Daigle, Mackenzie Wyman, Shane and Abigail Wyman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 9 a.m. Thursday from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, and 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Church in East Greenbush where the liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, East Dorset, Vt.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the critical care unit St. Mary’s Hospital, 1300 Massachusetts Ave., Troy, NY 12180.
