Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A prayer service for Isabel T. Beshara was held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington followed by a Mass of Resurrection at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church with the Rev. Vincent Coppola, c.s.c. associate pastor, officiating. Assisting at the mass were Mr. Leonard Anzivino, Dr. Barth Vander Els, Mr. Joseph Anton, and Mr. Edward Molloy.

The pall was placed upon the casket by Isabel’s two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Nolin and Ms. Joanne Beshara. The Cross of Resurrection was placed upon the casket by her son, Mr. John Beshara. The Old Testament Scripture was read by Ms. Karen Goodhue and the New Testament Scripture was read by Ms. Brenda Nolin.

The Eucharistic gifts were brought to the altar by three grandsons, George Beshara, Jeffrey Gygax and John Anthony Beshara. Selected music for the mass included “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Be Not Afraid,” “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria” and “How Great Thou Art.” The organ was played by Mr. Donald McMahon, and the soloist for the mass was Mrs. Mildred Pierce.

Words or remembrance were given by Frank Nolin, a son-in-law.

Pallbearers for the services were Dr. Charles Salem, Dr. Abraham Madkour, Mr. Henry Salem, Mr. Thomas Nolin, Mr. Michael Madison, and Mr. Thomas Beshara.

The family received friends at the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall following the services.

Interment took place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.

Mrs. Isabel T. Beshara, widow of George J. Beshara, a resident of Park Street, Bennington, died on Friday Feb. 23, 2007, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
